MEET THE TEAM
Holly Hardy - Associate Postgraduate Dean – Bristol, South Glos and North Somerset
I have a long history of interest in GP education, having been a course organiser in Manchester and Clinical teacher at the University of N.S.W Australia. I became a GP trainer in 2005 and supervised Foundation doctors in my practice until moving to Bristol in 2007. I am a part-time GP in Horfield and share the care of our 4 children with my husband. In addition I have been a nationally elected member of RCGP Council since 2015. If you would like to make an appointment to see me, please contact Mandy
Mandy Price - Bristol GP Training Programme Manager
I have worked in GP Training since 2001, first at the deanery and now for the Bristol Scheme. The bane of my life is my commute to Southmead. Outside of work, cooking and walking both help to lower my blood pressure. I work from 7.30 - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday in the Learning and Research Building at Southmead Hospital. (0117 4148028)
Lucy Brenton - Bristol GP Training Programme Administrator
I joined the team in May 2014 and am based in the Department of Medical Education at Southmead Hospital. I work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Contact: (Tel: 0117 414 8029)
Hannah Richmond - Training Programme Director
I have been a GP in Downend since 2003. I began training GPs in our practice in 2009 and then spent a year as the education fellow in Bath before joining the Bristol team in 2012. I am the small group leader for the ST1s.
Nick Snelling - Training Programme Director
I am a clinical evidence fellow at Bristol CCG and a GP partner in Bristol. In a past life I worked in the private sector as an osteopath and have a particular interest in musculoskeletal medicine and pain management.
Shaba Nabi - Training Programme Director
I am a GP at Charlotte Keel Medical Practice, which is an inner city practice. I followed a convoluted route to general practice which included psychiatry, neurology, Ship’s Doctor and Civilian Medical Officer for the RAF. I have a portfolio career which includes education, appraisal, CVD Lead for the CCG and a columnist for Pulse magazine. When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out with my 3 young kids and dancing to 90’s club music.
Jasmin Krischer - Training Programme Director
I have joined the team working mainly with the ST3 trainees and am also an appraiser and salaried GP. Throughout my career, I’ve been involved in teaching in one form or another and have always found it a great way to keep on my toes and stay refreshed ! I’m a good person to talk to about career choices as I’ve done a lot of different jobs, from locum to GP partner, from working in Sudan and East Timor for MSF to combining general practice with assistantships in Dermatology and Paediatrics. I can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
Jenna Powell - Training Programme Director
I am a salaried GP at The Family practice , Western College in Cotham. I have always had an interest in education; tutoring mathematics through medical school, teaching medical students and junior doctors and getting involved in GP trainee education during my own training in Bath. I am currently a small group facilitator for the ST3s.
Having recently had a little girl, life has changed a lot! When I do have time to let my hair down I love walking, enjoying the many lovely eateries in Bristol, and tending to my veg plot!
Sarah Williams - Training Programme Director
I enjoyed training in Bristol so much I became a TPD! I left Bristol to work as a GP in Australia for nearly 2 years. Here I furthered my interests working in contraceptive clinics, antenatal, postnatal care and many a baby check. More importantly I learnt to operate a 4x4 winch in the middle of the outback whilst stuck in sand, mud and rivers. A tamer life now I work as a salaried GP. I also work in OOH, now urgent care and occasional locum. Outside of work I’m bringing up my little family in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by mountains.
